Fallago Environment Fund offers two funding programmes, a Main Grants Programme and a Core Funding Programme. The main emphasis of the Fund will be on capital projects that leave a long-term legacy (Main Grants Programme). However, core funding support will be considered, in exceptional circumstances, to those organisations that can clearly demonstrate how their activities complement and deliver on the aim of the Fund (Core Funding Programme). You can download a Main Grants Programme application form here (it is strongly advised that you get in touch to discuss your project idea before submitting an application). General guidance notes for the Fallago Environment Fund are also available here.
Our deadlines for completed applications are 1st September and 1st March.
How much can I apply for?
Our minimum project size is £1000 and, under our Main Grants programme, our maximum grant is £150,000 (a maximum of £50,000 per annum over 3 years).
What is the Aim of the Fund?
To enhance the quality of life for local communities and visitors to the Borders through investment in the protection, enhancement and appreciation of the natural, built and cultural heritage of the Scottish Borders environment.
Who can apply? (must be able to meet all 3 criteria)
• community, voluntary, charitable groups or other relevant organisations. Applications from individuals will only be accepted under exceptional circumstances.
• projects which operate within the Scottish Borders local authority area or the parish of Gifford
• projects which contribute to the Aim of the Fund
