The Fallago Environment Fund’s Core Funding Programme has been created in recognition that the work of many organisations is highly relevant to the aims of the Fund. It is also recognised that the lack of core funding can impair the productivity of such organisations. For this reason, the Fund will consider funding core costs but only when these can be clearly linked to deliverables that are complementary to the aims of the Fund (the aim of the Fund is ‘to enhance the quality of life for local communities and visitors to the Borders through investment in the protection, enhancement and appreciation of the natural, built and cultural heritage of the Scottish Borders environment’).
However, please note that the main focus of the Fund will be the Main Grants Programme, and that a smaller proportion of the Fund’s resources will be assigned to the Core Funding Programme.
What is the Core Funding Programme?
The main emphasis of the Fund will be on capital projects that leave a long-term legacy. However, core funding support will be considered, in exceptional circumstances, to those organisations that can clearly demonstrate how their activities complement and deliver on the aim of the Fund.
