Just some of the 22 bags of litter collected on the Turford Burn, in Earlston, as part of the Great Borders River Clean on Saturday. The current count shows nearly 450 people came out across the Borders, collecting 2.05 tons of rubbish from 30 different towns and villages. Challenging weather conditions and high river levels meant the heavier rubbish couldn’t be accessed but it’s still a massive achievement for the Clean’s organiser Tom Rawson and the motivated communities of the Scottish Borders. Tweed Forum has been helping Tom access funding and raise awareness of the event. You can read more about the Great Borders River Clean and Tom’s work here https://www.instagram.com/greentweedeco/
